LM Radio has been honoured with two prestigious Diamond Arrow Awards, presented at the PMR Africa Mozambique Leaders and Achievers Awards, held in Maputo on 6 May. These awards were received for being chosen by the business community as the top Mozambique Radio Station “for excellence in Radio Broadcasting, in the categories of Music and Entertainment, as well as News and Current Affairs”.

Update on the
South African Licence
as of 15 May 2013

LM Radio has submitted an application for a licence to broadcast on the AM band in South Africa. The Independant Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) will be evaluating the LM Radio application together with other submissions. ICASA advised LM Radio that in terms of their commitment to Parliament, the licensing process must be completed by the end of September 2013 and that Public hearings will be held some time in the July time frame. Watch this space for further updates.
